On March 28, reporters learned that Kunlun Lubrication’s proprietary products have been put into use in large domestic gas storage facilities, marking an important milestone in the substitution of imported products in the field of lubrication for energy infrastructure. The stable operation of a gas storage facility relies on the efficient functioning of its core equipment. The inflation compressor is key to determining whether a gas storage facility can perform its role in stabilizing supply and managing peak loads effectively. For a long time, the market for high-end compressor oils in domestic gas storage facilities has been dominated by imported brands, which not only increases the operating costs of the equipment but also poses security risks to the supply chain. Kunlun Lubrication took proactive action by focusing on the lubrication needs of high-pressure gas injection compressors in gas storage facilities. It established a dedicated R&D team to develop specific oil solutions for such compressors, as well as plans for application testing and emergency response procedures for oil use in these devices. Through repeated tests and optimizations, it succeeded in developing Kunlun hydrocarbon gas synthesis compressor oil. This product boasts excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance and extreme pressure wear resistance; it can effectively counter the effects of hydrocarbon gases, maintaining stable lubrication performance and fully meeting the stringent operating requirements of imported gas injection compressors. Currently, this high-end compressor oil has been successfully applied in important gas storage facilities in China, enabling the replacement of imported products. It not only fills the gap in the use of high-end lubricants for energy infrastructure in China but also significantly reduces the operational and maintenance costs of these storage facilities, providing reliable lubrication support for critical energy infrastructure.
