Do screw compressors with synchronous gears also inject oil into the compression chamber?
We spray softened water, which is then separated by the outlet vapor separator before returning to the inlet. Here, we had an instance where the inlet spray was not activated correctly; in other words, the soft water supply wasn’t turned on, which caused the temperature at the outlet of the screw compressor to rise sharply, leading to an automatic shutdown and smoking from the machine’s casing.
