The unit is labeled as 4AV-15, while its nameplate indicates it as a 3LAS-7.5/35 type compressor. It was developed independently in 1961 and was China’s first single-unit, two-stage piston-type refrigeration compressor, filling a gap in domestic refrigeration technology. It was produced by Dalian Refrigerator Factory (the predecessor of today’s Iceberg Group).
