It is actually designed according to pressure vessel standards; grain silos should not be subject to those same standards.
4712 is only a recommended standard; larger vertical containers can also use leg supports, though you will need to do the calculations yourself. For larger ones, skirt supports are more suitable; of course, large containers at atmospheric pressure can also use leg-type supports.
