It’s a mechanically stirred tank with a jacket; what should be used as the working medium inside the jacket? What about temperature and pressure? I’m using hot steam for heating – I was wondering if anyone here could help me out

Is it steam inside the kettle, and is a jacket heating required outside the kettle as well? The jacket can be heated with heat transfer oil.

Additionally, the material used also needs to be known in order to calculate the appropriate wall thickness
The medium in the jacket serves to assist the reaction inside the reactor; therefore, parameters such as temperature and flow rate must be set according to the requirements of the reaction within the reactor.
