Lead time for standard and non-standard forgings (stainless steel flanges, tube sheets, etc.)

We are a company based in the Yangtze River Delta that specializes in pressure vessels; it seems that we purchase standard as well as custom-fabricated forgings (such as stainless steel flanges and tube sheets) from several suppliers located in Jiangyin, Wuxi, Jiangsu. Is it because the quality in other places (such as Wenzhou, Shandong, Cangzhou, etc.) is not up to standard, or are there other reasons? Also, the shortest procurement cycle is one month – is this the case for all forging purchases?
I remember that the company once purchased a batch of 316L butt-welded flanges from Wenzhou, and during pressure testing cracks appeared in the neck area of those flanges, causing leaks……
As for the procurement cycle, for regular materials in small quantities, it takes about a month. The forging workshops are usually busy with production tasks, and ordering only triggers the waiting process
This thing isn’t like regular sheets; those regular sheets are all in stock
Which manufacturer in Wenzhou is it? Is it a small factory?
