Are steam-jacketed vessels, as well as vessels with internal and external steam coils (DN>50), considered special equipment that require approval?
Jacketed containers and coil-type containers are two different things; please explain in detail what you want to know.
If the inner and outer coil diameters are less than 150, the coils are considered separately and are not subject to the tolerance specifications
Jacketed vessels with an internal cylinder at atmospheric pressure generally fall under the jurisdiction of the Solid Pressure Vessel Regulations, depending on the volume of the jacket. Vessels with a constant pressure atmosphere and internal or external steam coils are not subject to the regulations for fixed-pressure vessels.
Are you referring to a external coil jacketed vessel? If the inner cylinder is at atmospheric pressure, no monitoring is required
