As shown in the figure: In the calculation of equipment flanges, how are the additional bending moments and axial tensile loads calculated or entered? Thank you.
If it exists, enter it; if not, there’s no need to enter anything.
Coordination from the machine management team is required; these parameters can be proposed, and they should be entered for important flange connections. If it is a tower connection flange, SW6 can be used at that location for calculation in order to obtain these parameters. It is mainly about considering the flange equivalent pressure.
Generally none; for towers, external bending moments may need to be entered.
