The groove of the tube sheet fillet weld can be chamfered using a drill bit while machining the tube sheet.
This question is too simple! It’s normal too! Drill the pipe hole first, then use a large drill bit to chamfer it!

Why are there welds on the tubes and the shell? Isn’t it a shell-and-tube heat exchanger?
