I have some questions regarding the feed inlet and the distributor

Recently, a major overhaul was carried out, replacing the distributors in the distillation columns from ring-type to tray and slot-type ones. The original loop-type distributor was cut off and discarded; elbows were then welded at the original feed and return ports, positioned directly opposite the trough-type overflow center of the new distributor. I’m wondering what effect this will have on the distribution of the liquid
There seems to be no problem as seen in the image; the secondary distributor is in the upper left corner, while the primary trough distributor is in the lower right corner
It seems fine on paper, but practice often matters more than theory; no matter how well something is described, you need to try it out to see how it works. It’s better to give it a try and observe the results
