I would like to ask you all, what do you think of these two welding process regulations? As a welder, when someone asked me why these two documents are called welding procedure specifications, I was speechless! ! !
The next one should be called welding process. A welding process may require multiple process specification documents to support it.
The following is Appendix C of NB/T47015-2011. This name may be wrong, but there is no errata sheet, so we can only call it according to the standard name. . .
The upper one is a pre-welding procedure specification document for welding assessment, and the lower one is a welding procedure specification document. To make a complete welding procedure specification for equipment, several copies of the qualified pre-welding procedure specification are needed to support it.；
One is a normative guidance document, and the other is a specific product process document.

The first one. . WPS. . . It is a universal process document compiled to guide production based on the qualified PQR. . The second one. . WWI. . . The welding operation instruction is a welding guidance document for a specific type of joint for a certain project. Nouns and tables defined in NB/T47015. The requirements for the file name format in the standard are mostly recommended and require at least the content. When the general format is implemented, each unit or everyone may have different understandings of the file name, which makes the person who performs the operation confused. Sometimes, don’t worry about the name, it is more reliable to figure out what the file is for. If you hang on to the file name and communicate with others, it is easy to create conflicts.
It is a common problem. The same problem exists in TSG21-2016. The term welding procedure specification should be listed as a proper noun, specifically referring to the WPS after the PWPS has been qualified.
