Dear experts, I’m facing a difficult problem right now: the size of the connection flange on the jacketed cone tube of the equipment is incorrect, and it needs to be changed to an ANSI 1.5\" flange. The equipment has already been completed, and if we were to order new cone tubes and flanges to replace everything, it would take too much time. On the other hand, if we only cut off the existing flange and replace the inner pipe, it won’t be possible to weld or inspect it. Could anyone suggest a good method to make this correction? I would be extremely grateful; this is quite urgent! Please!
The flange connection dimensions specified by the poster are incorrect; the correct dimensions aren’t clearly stated. Could an external transition flange be considered?
The original screw holes were sealed and smoothed with bolts, and the screw holes were re-machined in accordance with ANSI 1.5 standards.
An additional flange can be attached; this seems to be the quickest solution for now, but the total length will change, requiring adjustments to the related pipes or instruments. :)
