In what situations should the design documents specify that the steel plates to be used must undergo high-temperature tensile testing? Are there any relevant regulations? I would appreciate some guidance from those who are more experienced. Thank you
It is included in the national standard GB150.2, under the materials section; actually, it is also a copy of EN13445. Detailed information on high-temperature tensile testing can be found in EN10028-1~7. These standards specify the mechanical properties of materials at certain temperatures: carbon steel at 300 degrees, and stainless steel at 250 degrees. ASME standards basically do not cover high-temperature tensile testing; only room-temperature tensile tests are conducted.
Are you referring to 3.6.2 in GB150.2: When carbon steel and carbon-manganese steel are used at temperatures above 425°C for extended periods, the tendency of the graphite formation in the carbon phases present in the steel must be taken into consideration?

I have a heat exchanger made of 15CRMoR material, with a designed operating temperature of 350°C. However, the design specifications do not require high-temperature tensile testing, which seems inappropriate to me; yet I couldn’t find any regulations regarding this. That’s why I’m asking the experts here
It can be mentioned. The temperature you have is not high; for 15CrMoR, there is no issue with high-temperature tensile testing either, and it’s easy to pass.
