Hello, everyone in the community. The TA2 wire mesh demisters supplied by one of our project manufacturers are covered in a large amount of oil residue; no such issue has been observed in other projects for now. I’ve checked the relevant specifications and couldn’t find any requirements regarding the acceptance criteria for these wire meshes. I’m seeking advice from everyone here on what to do.

A large amount of oil contamination definitely means it’s substandard; there’s no need to check any standard or criteria.
The screen defoamer is considered an internal component of the equipment, and preliminary acceptance can be carried out in accordance with the following acceptance standards for such internal components: 1. The surface of the internal component must be free of defects such as scratches or burrs; visual inspection shall confirm compliance. 2. Check whether the dimensions and quantity of the internal components meet the requirements of the drawings. 3. The material shall meet the requirements specified in the drawings; for stainless steel interior components, a certain proportion of each batch must undergo semi-quantitative spectral testing.

1. Check whether the contract signed at that time specified that the titanium wire needed to be degreased; 2. Generally, titanium wire needs to be degreased. Because titanium wire has poor elongation properties, wire drawing factories add lubricants during the wire production process to facilitate weaving.

Titanium wires used in wire mesh demisters usually have this feature. Such wires are inexpensive, and unless the customer has special requirements, we often use them – they don’t affect performance. If you don’t mind spending more money, you can opt for shiny wires; their price is more than 5 times that of these ordinary wires. 、。 We also make shiny silk
