Do liquid ammonia cryogenic storage tanks require an ice maker? The spherical tank design eliminates the need for an ice machine. I’m not sure if I understand correctly – are there any chiller manufacturers in the forum? I’d like to learn *a bit, and I’d like to recommend it to the property owners as well.

I searched for ice machines on Haichuan, and to my surprise I found the answer we were looking for. It’s so great; Haichuan is really excellent!
It depends on your usage conditions – whether it is necessary to use a chiller for the function of this device. It’s not what someone says that determines what they think. I’m not sure what the design of liquid ammonia cryogenic storage tanks is like; if they are well insulated, both liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen can be stored in them. Because these types of storage tanks have a vacuum insulation layer for radiation protection. There are also storage-type cryogenic tanks that use expanded perlite as insulation material. This also does not require an ice machine to supply cooling capacity. I’ve never used liquid ammonia, but the low temperature I can achieve is not as low as -180°C; so it should be possible to draw lessons from this. For reference.
