I. Methods of boiler blowdown 1. Periodic blowdown 1) The interval and amount of blowdown depend on the test results of the boiler water; generally, it should not exceed 5% of the feedwater volume. 2) Regular blowdown: During high load conditions of the boiler, it is generally not advisable to perform blowdown on the water wall tube headers, in order to avoid disrupting the normal water circulation in the water wall and causing tube failure accidents. 2. Continuous blowdown: The amount of blowdown should be determined based on the test results of the boiler water, and it is adjusted by controlling the opening degree of the needle-shaped valve in the blowdown pipe. To improve thermal efficiency, the wastewater can be directed into a pressure expansion tank so that the secondary steam generated due to pressure reduction can be recovered, with the wastewater being discharged from the expansion tank.
