Hello guys! The laboratory plans to conduct a small-scale experiment, so it needs to design a stirring tank. Since the volume of the reactant is not very large, the diameter of the reactor barrel found in the design search (refer to the course book) is 450mm. However, when searching for the standards, I found that the minimum dimensions of the standard rack, flange flange, and mounting base are also very large. So I would like to ask you how to deal with it. Is it possible not to use a rack? So how to design sealing and support? Since I have no experience at all, I hope the experts can tell me in more detail. Regarding the design, should I just follow the curriculum or should I ask directly from the manufacturer? You can design the flange yourself, there is no need to choose a standard flange. Although our company does not produce many mixing tanks, we have never chosen a standard flange. There are a lot of designs in the world. It is best to find something similar to a mixing tank, refer to the design, and design a product out of thin air. It is not an easy task.
