It is a tubular reactor with a DN40 diameter, an operating temperature of 200°C, a pressure of 16.0 MPA, and a length of around 200 meters. The manufacturer responsible for its design states that, according to the new pressure vessel regulations, this device does not qualify as a pressure vessel. Is that true? Does it belong or not, everyone?
But according to the specifications, the geometric diameter is not supposed to be greater than 150 mm
Both the fixed-volume specification and GB150 have requirements regarding diameter.
It should be classified as a pressure vessel; it simply does not meet the requirements set out in GB150 and the regulations governing pressure vessels. In my opinion, design guidelines can be used as a reference.
In other words, it does not fall under the category of pressure vessels, but the manufacturing process must be carried out in accordance with pressure vessel standards? Is that what it means? Because if we follow the rules strictly, the diameter clearly does not meet the requirements
With a length of over 200 meters, should it be considered a pressure pipeline? Are there any requirements regarding the diameter of pressure pipes?
It falls outside the scope of application of TSG 21-2016 and GB/T150-2011; however, the design and manufacturing can follow relevant standards. With a length of 200 meters, is it considered a pipeline? The diameter of such a pressure vessel is quite small. It’s rare to see it this long. Or is it the coil on the equipment?
