During the relocation of chemical processing units, a large proportion of the equipment consists of reboilers. Due to differences in regional temperatures, the minimum temperature variations can reach 20 degrees. The original jacket material was Q235B; however, this material cannot be used for the relocation process. I would appreciate it if experts could advise me on how to handle this situation Thank you, thank you!
Can the liquid inside the jacket be changed?
Or in other words, can plastic rubber insulation material be added outside the jacket?
Find a relevant design company to do the calculations, or calculate it yourself; replace the insulation material or increase the thickness of the insulation layer

I don’t understand what impact temperature differences in different regions can have on equipment – could the highest and lowest temperatures be lower than the local weather conditions? Assuming up to 120°C, does temperature have an impact? The operating temperature for Q235B is 0-350°C.
From a design perspective, the material does not meet the requirements, resulting in a outright rejection.
The design temperature of the pressure vessel shell of the equipment is the wall temperature; reliable insulation measures should be taken, and Q235B can also be used. The key is whether the bearing material can withstand the ambient temperature; of course, attention must also be paid to the material of the anchor bolts.
Since regulations and standards do not allow its use, there is no other option but to replace it. For design temperatures of -20°C, regulations set requirements regarding the P and S content, as well as requirements for the material’s manufacturing process. Appendix D of GB150.2 and Appendix E of GB150.3 both set strict requirements.
Based on the comments of these experts, for reboilers, only those parts made of materials not permitted by regulatory standards can be replaced. Is there really no other way to think of?
