As shown in the calculation sheet exported by PVELite, under the \"Nozzle Summary\" section, it reads: Warning: A Nozzle Reinforcement is governing the MAWP of this Vessel. The nozzle reinforcement ring controls the maximum allowable working pressure of this vessel. However, no errors or warnings are shown in the takeover calculation sheet: Help: How to fix this error?
First, verify whether the project requires that MAWP control not be supplemented by takeover mechanisms; However, it is usually not allowed to use reinforcement takeover for control. In the LOAD CASE, there is an option to modify the pressure used for the reinforcement calculation; values of 1, 3, or 4 can be selected. If the reinforcement calculation yields satisfactory results, then it will not be necessary to rely on the MAWP determined by the pipe reinforcement.
Thank you! I also tried to learn it* once
Adjusting this issue requires skill; upload your original PV file and I’ll tell you how to handle it.
When calculating the reinforcement for this takeover, external loads other than internal pressure were taken into account, resulting in longitudinal bending stresses being greater than circumferential stresses; therefore, it is not possible to determine the MAWP using the first strength theory.
Increasing the MAWP of the open-hole reinforcement by thickening the pipe fittings or adding reinforcing rings ensures that the overall MAWP of the equipment is determined by the pipe flanges or other primary pressure-bearing components.
I encountered the same problem. How did the original poster resolve it in the end?
