Can such a small tank be equipped with an internal floating roof? Should it be made of stainless steel or ordinary steel?
Methanol storage tanks with internal floating roofs within 100 m3 don’t have any special structure; they are simply ordinary storage tanks equipped with an internal floating disk, along with a nitrogen inlet at the tank top. The dashed line for the internal floating disk indicates that it can be purchased externally. Of course, the height of the tank must take into account space for floating disk maintenance. According to the petrochemical regulations, internal floating disks are not required for storage tanks with a capacity of 200 cubic meters or less.
