The baffle plates, spacers, and tie rods are all made of Q235B, while the heat exchange tubes are made of TA2. Due to ammonia corrosion, the upper heat exchange tubes show a metallic luster after surface pickling in those areas covered with black residue; the lower heat exchange tubes have a scale layer about 1 mm thick, which can be removed in pieces by tapping them. But the baffle and the holes in the heat exchange tubes were completely blocked; knocking on them or using a high-pressure gun had no effect at all. That’s exactly the situation.
