Basic requirements for routine valve pressure testing: 1. After unboxing all valves, an visual inspection should be carried out, including checking that the nameplates on the valve bodies are complete, that there are quality certification documents available, that the valves are in a closed state, that there are no damages such as those on the flange surfaces, that the valves are free from dirt, and that protective covers are present at both ends. 2. The operator should be familiar with the operation of the pressure testing bench. 3. The JHA for valve pressure testing should be improved; operators must be familiar with the safety risks associated with valve pressure testing and related operations, and have appropriate preventive measures in place. 4. The valve pressure testing procedure includes: shell strength test, upper seal test, and seal test. (1) For the strength test of the valve housing, water is used as the testing medium. The pressure applied is 1.5 times the nominal pressure of the valve, and the pressure is maintained for 5 minutes; no leakage or moisture is considered acceptable. (2) Water is used as the sealing test medium for the valve, at a pressure of 1.5 times the nominal pressure. The holding time is 15 seconds for DN ≤ 50, 60 seconds for 65 ≤ DN ≤ 300, and 120 seconds for DN ≥ 350; no leakage is considered acceptable. (3) For the valve sealing test, a low-pressure sealing test is conducted using air as the testing medium. The pressure is 0.6 MPa; the holding time is 15 seconds for DN ≤ 50, 60 seconds for 65 ≤ DN ≤ 150, and 120 seconds for DN ≥ 200. The test is considered successful if the leakage rate meets the specified requirements. (4) After the pressure test is successful, the water inside the valve chamber should be dried promptly using compressed air. (5) Valves that pass the pressure test are marked with √ on their bodies, while those that fail the test are marked with ×. (6) After pressure testing, the valves should be stored separately according to their model and specifications; those that fail the tests should be stored apart ; Each stacking area should have a prominent sign posted. After pressure testing, the valve should be covered with its seal, and protected with colored fabric in the storage area. (7) After the valve pressure testing is completed, the \"Valve/Fitting Testing Record\" should be filled out promptly in accordance with the procedures; the model field should be filled with the purchase contract number indicated on the valve body. (8) For valves that pass the tests, a \"Valve Issuance Record\" must be filled out upon issuance, with signatures from both the issuing and receiving parties. (9) Unqualified valves require a separate \"Register of Information on Unqualified Valves\" to be maintained.
