In what operating conditions must pressure gauges have a red upper limit indicator? Does every pressure gauge need to have an upper limit mark, and do pressure gauges on pressure regulators and reducers also need such marks?
From a safety management perspective, wherever there are requirements regarding operating within specific pressure ranges, it is recommended to install upper and lower limit markers to enable on-site personnel to detect and address any abnormalities promptly; If conditions permit, it is advisable to use remote automatic control and alarm systems for pressure monitoring as well.

Theoretically, the range of a pressure gauge should be its upper and lower limits; yet now there are red markers indicating these limits, and such markers have become almost mandatory. Does anyone know why? Please share your opinions.
It’s not that complicated; we usually mark a red line on pressure gauges that are subject to strict inspection, and red lines are used on those pressure gauges whose process parameters are important
This question isn’t meaningful; it’s just a reference marker. The safety supervision department simply demands that it be implemented; you have no control over that.
The range of the pressure gauge should be adjusted at any time according to the changed operating conditions; theoretically, it should be set between 1/3 and 2/3 of the maximum value. The upper and lower limits serve merely as a means to prevent overload or for visual management purposes.
On boilers, pressure vessels, and pressure pipelines, a red line indicating the maximum allowable working pressure must be marked for warning purposes.
