I would like to ask: when it comes to renewing the certification for pressure vessel manufacturing units, and there are 5 full-time design engineers, is it required that one of them have a degree in welding (material forming)?
The welding responsibility engineer does not necessarily have to be a full-time designer. Unless your company is short of staff and you need to make up the number
5 full-time designers are required; no special expertise is needed, as long as they have a background in engineering
This is a license for design + manufacturing, right? There are 10 designers in total, with 2 approval steps. . Among them, there are 5 full-time designers and 2 reviewers. The person responsible for welding in a manufacturing system needs to have welding skills or a relevant educational background in welding.
The designers have set rules； But there are also regulations regarding the responsible persons. There must be a responsible person for each specialty. Designers can serve as part-time responsible persons, but they must have an appointment letter.
