Due to the on-site conditions, the three leg-type supports of the ammonia storage tank were not fixed using anchor bolts; instead, the leg-type supports were welded to the embedded iron. Is this approach reasonable?
This approach is not very reasonable. Normally, anchor bolts should be used to fix the tank supports in order to ensure stability and safety. Although welding can also serve a fixing purpose, it may affect the overall strength and durability of the support, especially when subjected to heavy loads or changes in the external environment. Furthermore, once repair or replacement is needed, the welding method makes disassembly difficult. Therefore, it is recommended to use anchor bolts for fixation as much as possible. .
