The acrylic acid reactor for the Yulin Chemical Phase II project is a key piece of equipment in Shaanxi Yueneng Fine Chemical Materials Co., Ltd.’s 1 million tons per year production facility for high-end chemical materials. This project is located in the Yushen Industrial Park in Yulin City, with a total investment of 10.3 billion yuan; completion is scheduled for October 2026. Reactor parameters: The first reactor weighs 260 tons, with dimensions of φ6550×4700 mm, and is used in the key process step for acrylic acid production. Second reactor: weighing 200 tons, with dimensions of φ6650×3440 mm, it also carries out the key chemical reactions for acrylic acid production. Project progress: In May 2025, the two reactors were successfully lifted and rotated, a task that presented significant challenges; this marked a key milestone as the project entered the construction phase. Previously, in April 2024, tenders were issued for the procurement of reactors; Xi’an Aerospace Huawei Chemical won the bid for the first oxidation reactor at a cost of 19.88 million yuan, while Nanjing Baose Color Co., Ltd. won the bid for the second oxidation reactor at a cost of 35.49 million yuan. Technical features: It adopts a direct carbon dioxide-ethane coupling carbonylation integrated process, enabling efficient synthesis through the optimization of reaction conditions. It produces few by-products and is easy to operate, providing technical support for large-scale production.
