Please refer to clause 3.2.5(2) of the TSG21-2016 Fixed Capacity Regulations; such a statement is too absolute. For pressure vessels that are not subject to the regulations set out in these guidelines, it’s even less absolute. Of course, using welded pipe flanges with necks makes it easier to ensure sealing and provides greater resilience to stress changes.
It wasn’t said that absolutely. But it’s all carried out as planned, after all, the designer needs to protect themselves.
