In this unit, 3.5 MPa medium-pressure steam is used to drive the turbine. Due to the fact that the medium-pressure steam system in our plant is not well optimized, our unit is located at the end of the pipeline, which results in water contamination in the steam. Therefore, a temperature and pressure reducing device was installed; after temperature and pressure reduction, the steam enters the low-pressure steam network. I would like to ask the experts whether it is necessary to include this temperature and pressure reducing device in the testing procedures during the next startup. If so, how should it be integrated into the system?
The temperature and pressure reducer has a complex internal structure; it’s not just a simple tube. Is it not a risk of damage when using it together in shooting exercises?
So how should it be purged? Should it just be carried along, purged with steam, or with some other medium?
