Regarding traditional steam multi-effect evaporation systems, and the various problems that arise in new MVR energy-saving evaporation system installations – such as scaling of the evaporation equipment, material leakage, pipe blockages, insufficient evaporation capacity, vibrations in the evaporation equipment, abnormal noises, and issues related to energy savings – do anyone have valuable experience in addressing these problems? Feel free to share your insights... :lol
Isn’t MVR already quite mature?
There is a big gap between theory and actual on-site engineering
The problems of scaling, material leakage, and blockages in the evaporation unit are likely issues remaining from the original multi-effect system; this has little to do with whether an MVR should be installed or not. The issue of insufficient evaporation volume can be addressed by replacing multi-effect systems with MVRs; however, due to the reduced effective temperature difference, the evaporation volume will certainly be lower compared to that of the original treatment system. Exactly how much less it can be depends on the properties of the material and the heat exchange area of the existing equipment; only after these factors are taken into account can an accurate figure be determined.
Confirming the technical solution is crucial! If the project is already in place, it’s very difficult to make modifications!

MVR technology is very mature, but that doesn’t mean that all design approaches are also mature. A knife for cutting vegetables is quite advanced, right? But still, some people end up cutting their fingers!
