BoxHeater – Simplified Chinese version; a software for designing square-shell heat exchangers, widely used in processes and thermal designs involving gas heat exchange such as economizers, flue gas heat recovery, and air heating/cooling. Today, I’ll provide another example of the design for a special type of BoxHeater: a spray-type heat exchanger. Inside the tubes, SO2 with a flow rate of 3000 kg/h and a temperature of 230 ℃ is cooled to 65 ℃ ℃ ； Outside the tube: circulating water spray, inlet at 32 ℃, outlet at 38 ℃. Tube specification: Carbon steel tube of 85×5.
It can also be made in a tower format, as a spray tower – the number of tubes remains the same!
