I would like to ask an expert: this location is at the heat exchanger flange of the compressor, with gas flowing through the shell side and cooling water flowing through the tube side. What is the purpose of this hole on the tube sheet in the diagram (there are two holes around the tube sheet)? Gas is leaking from this hole at present; how should it be dealt with? The compressor keeps running, and aside from air leakage from this hole, there are no abnormalities in temperature or pressure.
I remember that a gasket ring can be added in the middle (not a gasket); for details, consult the flange manufacturer or the gasket manufacturer directly. They are extremely good at solving such problems.

This is probably due to a misalignment in the pipeline when two flanges are connected; the sealing surfaces do not fit together, so a gasket was used, and the holes were left over from pressure testing.

This is a leakage observation port made by the manufacturer. To allow any leaked gas or liquid to escape under no pressure. Prevent the two substances from coming into contact. It’s likely that the O-ring for gas detection is damaged; the head needs to be removed in order to replace it.
If the leaked gas is harmless, its handling can be postponed at an appropriate time.
