The hot and cold cycles experienced by heat exchangers pose a severe challenge to the sealing performance of gaskets; therefore, I would like to recommend a new type of wound gasket and share it with everyone. It is not recommended to reuse any gaskets, as repeated use affects their resilience
It is not recommended to reuse gaskets; although problems may not necessarily arise, a single issue can result in heavy losses that far exceed the cost of the gasket.
The gasket used here is the renowned \"change\" gasket; its introduction addressed the problem of traditional large-sized winding gaskets falling apart easily, while at the same time it possesses the rigidity of metal toothed gaskets (wave-shaped gaskets). At the same time, wound rubber gaskets have much greater resistance to creep and thermal cycling than spiral gaskets and toothed gaskets. Currently widely used in reactors and heat exchangers for processes such as reforming/hydrogenation/cracking/dehydrogenation. Further discussions are welcome.
