I want to build a shell-and-tube heat exchanger myself, using a 60kw electric heating element to heat the heat transfer oil. The heat transfer oil will be used in the shell side, while water will flow through the tube side. Stainless steel tubes with an outer diameter of 16 mm will be coiled in a spiral shape. How long would such stainless steel tubes need to be to meet the requirements?
