Many heat network heaters are equipped with a drain well at the lower part of the shell cylinder (as shown in the figure). I would like to ask everyone: what is the basis for selecting such a drain well? 1. When is it necessary to install a hydrophobic well? 2. How should the diameter and height of a hydrophobic well be selected appropriately?
1. Under normal circumstances, when the liquid level at the lower part of the shell side cylinder in the heating network heater is too high, water will overflow, and therefore a drain well is installed; 2. The diameter of the inlet should be smaller than that of the shell side cylinder of the heat network heater, and its height should be adjusted to be either higher or lower than the liquid level in the heat network heater, in order to keep the liquid level within the set range. -For reference only

However, due to limitations imposed by the openings in the tank shell, we usually choose a size that is one-third of those openings. . As for the total height, it ranges from 800 to 1200 units, measured from the weld seam of the lower end cap to the outer surface of the shell; this value depends on the requirements of the level gauge.
