How much material can the distillation kettle hold?

Hello, dear friends. Our company currently has 4-cubic-meter jacketed distillation reactors for simple distillation processes, without any rectifying trays at the top. The outlet is then connected to the condenser. It is organic solvent distillation, and it does not tend to coking or polymerize. How much can be loaded at one time? 50%, 60%, 75%? Are there only empirical data, or are there regulations?

Hello, is this based on experience or a requirement from some design standard? Additionally, when designing the volume of a tank in general, a margin should be included; if it’s 110%, could it be calculated as 110% × 75%? Thank you
This can be appropriately increased based on experience.
This is for safety reasons and efficiency reasons; too much volume results in limited evaporation space, which hinders evaporation. There are actually also some in the design specifications.
