Our factory’s hot water circulation pump (manufacturer: Shanghai Kaisibi Pump Co., Ltd; Model: HPH200-401 ; Rotation speed: 1450 r/min ; Motor manufacturer: Shanghai Shangdian Electric Motor Co., Ltd ; Model: Y2-315S-4; Speed: 1485 r/min. After the original Schneider soft starter was damaged, a new one was installed. When the circulation pump is started remotely from the control room, it stops after just 5 to 6 seconds of operation; the motor makes a humming sound, the indicator light shows green (green indicating that it is in the operating state), and the soft-start current value remains unchanged. There’s no problem with the machinery. I urgently need the help of all my brothers.
Is the three-phase current balanced? It’s a phase loss issue, I guess
If there are no issues with the machinery, first check whether the motor is missing a phase, then check the remote control unit, and finally the AC contactor
About 5 to 6 seconds after it starts, the circulation pump stops; the motor makes a humming sound, the indicator light shows green (green indicating that it is in operation), and the soft-start current value remains unchanged. If the motor makes a humming sound, it means it is running, but it is missing a phase. The soft start current reading doesn’t change – do you mean it shows the starting value or it shows zero? It should be displayed as the starting value. Based on a comprehensive analysis, either the soft starter has failed, or there is a problem with the main power supply circuit – for example, a phase loss in the air switch, or one of the fast-blow fuses at the input of the soft starter is blown.
Could it be that the outlet valve is opened too wide, resulting in excessive instantaneous current and causing the system to shut down? Check whether the circuit connections are loose, and also see if the pump is stuck
