Multiple longitudinal cracks have appeared at the flanges where the oil and gas pipelines of the coke tower are connected to the tower; the cause is unknown.
What is the material? Generally, there are more longitudinal cracks in the welds, while transverse cracks like these are less common
Material: 15CrMoR. We also have longitudinal cracks; the area shown as being welded in the diagram is where the original crack was. What usually causes such cracks?
It is currently suspected that it was caused by inadequate heat treatment and uneven stress distribution.

Use a hardness tester to measure the hardness; Cr-Mo alloys are prone to delayed cracking if not properly heat-treated, and the hardness should be less than 200 HB
The welding heat-affected zone is also known as welding stress
Could it be caused by welding several positioning ribs during assembly?
