Recently, an integrated unit of the condensate recovery type was installed. During the initial alignment process, the supervisor was called in for inspection. The base was aligned using shims at first; in accordance with section 6.3.8 of standard 3538, which deals with leveling and aligning machinery using shims, the supervisor checked these shims by using feelers and a hammer to strike them, and found some issues. I checked the 3538 standard, but it’s not clear from the standards whether the requirement in 6.3.8 applies only once or twice
It is recommended not to worry too much about this issue; rather, it’s important to do what needs to be done. Passing the inspection is what truly matters, and there’s no need to focus on whether it’s the first or second attempt. Supervisor, you know what to do: shutup:
