Chinese manufacturers have a high demand for the Rosemount 3051 transmitter, and this transmitter is increasingly being used in various mechanical industries. So how should we choose the right model when purchasing a Rosemount 3051? Today, I will introduce the points to keep in mind when selecting models: 1. Signal output of Rosemount 3051: Generally, the pressure transmitters in the Rosemount 3051 series come with various signal outputs; mainly 4–0mA and 4–20mA, which are two-wire outputs, while the others are three-wire outputs. In fact, signal outputs mainly include mV, V, mA, as well as digital outputs at specific frequencies. The choice of output depends on various factors in the manufacturing process, such as the distance between the Rosemount 3051 series transmitters and the system controllers or displays, whether there is significant noise and vibration, and whether there are any electronic interference signals present. 2. Rosemount 3051 excitation voltage: The type of output signal determines which excitation voltage should be used. Many amplifiers have built-in voltage regulation circuits, allowing for a wide range of supply voltages. Some Rosemount 3051 series transmitters are configured for fixed quantities and require a stable operating voltage; therefore, the available operating voltage determines whether a sensor with a regulator should be used. When selecting Rosemount 3051 series transmitters, both the operating voltage and the system cost need to be taken into consideration. 3. Pressure medium of Rosemount 3051: What we need to consider is the medium that the Rosemount 3051 pressure transmitter measures. Viscous liquids and mud can clog the pressure interface, while solvents or corrosive substances may damage the materials in the transmitter that come into direct contact with these media. 4. Pressure range of Rosemount 3051: It is necessary to determine the maximum pressure value to be measured in the system; typically, a Rosemount 3051 transmitter with a pressure range that is about 1.5 times greater than this maximum value should be selected. Therefore, when selecting Rosemount 3051 series transmitters, the pressure range, accuracy, and stability must be taken into full consideration. 5. Rosemount 3051 temperature range: A Rosemount 3051 transmitter is typically calibrated for two temperature ranges, namely the normal operating temperature range and the temperature compensation range. 6. Rosemount 3051 accuracy class: The factors that determine the accuracy of the Rosemount 3051 transmitter include non-linearity, hysteresis, non-repeatability, temperature, zero offset scaling, and the influence of temperature. But due mainly to non-linearity, hysteresis, and non-repeatability, the higher the precision, the higher the price. 7. Interchangeability of Rosemount 3051: The selected Rosemount 3051 transmitters should be capable of being used in multiple production stages, thereby reducing costs for the company and improving production efficiency. 8. Explosion protection and protection rating of the Rosemount 3051: In special applications, it is also necessary to consider the explosion protection and protection rating of the Rosemount 3051 transmitter.
