Key points for installing stainless steel pumps: The installation location of stainless steel pumps should meet the requirements regarding the suction vacuum level; they must be installed horizontally and securely, with the rotation direction of the drive motor matching that of the stainless steel pump. When a stainless steel pump and a motor are connected by a shaft, it is necessary to ensure that the shaft axes are on the same line, in order to prevent vibration during operation of the unit and uneven wear of the bearings ; If belt drive is used, the shaft axes should be parallel to each other and the belt pulleys aligned. If there are multiple units in the same machine room, there should be a distance of more than 800 mm between the units as well as between the units and the walls. The suction pipe of the stainless steel pump must be properly sealed, with as few elbows and gate valves as possible. When filling it with water, air should be completely removed to create a vacuum; no air should accumulate inside the pipe during operation. The suction pipe should be connected to the inlet of the stainless steel pump at a slight upward angle, and the inlet should have a certain depth of submersion. The reserved holes on the stainless steel pump foundation should be cast according to the dimensions of the stainless steel pump. 2. Analysis of common faults in stainless steel pumps and methods for dealing with them. Different types of stainless steel pumps exhibit different manifestations of faults, but generally, they share the following common characteristics: (1) Excessive power consumption – Cause: The pump’s rotation speed is too high ; The stainless steel pump shaft is bent, or the stainless steel pump shaft is not aligned or parallel to the motor shaft ; The head of the stainless steel pump chosen is not appropriate ; The stainless steel pump is sucking in sediment or blockages ; Damage to the motor’s ball bearings, etc. Solution: Check the circuit voltage and reduce the pump speed ; Correct the main shaft of the stainless steel pump or adjust the relative position between the stainless steel pump and the motor ; Select a stainless steel pump with an appropriate head ; Remove sediment or blockages ; Replace the motor’s ball bearings. (2) Causes of severe vibration or noise in the pump body: The stainless steel pump is not installed properly or is installed at too high a height ; Damage to the motor ball bearing ; The pump shaft is bent, or it is not aligned or parallel to the motor shaft, etc. Solution: Securely install the water pump or reduce its installation height ; Replace the motor ball bearings ; Correct the bent pump shaft or adjust the relative position of the pump and the motor. (3) Reasons for no water being pumped out: The pump body and suction pipe are not filled with water ; The dynamic water level is below the pump’s filter pipe ; Broken suction pipes, etc. Solution: Eliminate bottom valve faults and fill the water intake ; Lower the pump’s installation position so that the filter pipe is below the dynamic water level, or wait until the dynamic water level rises above the filter pipe before pumping water ; Repair or replace the suction pipe. (4) Causes of overheating in the drive shaft or motor bearings: lack of lubricant or broken bearings, etc. Solution: Add lubricant or replace the bearing. (5) Causes of insufficient flow: The main reasons for insufficient flow in stainless steel pumps are air leakage in the suction pipe and air leakage in the foot valve ; The water inlet is blocked ; The submersible valve is not deep enough in the water ; The speed of the stainless steel pump is too low ; The sealing ring or impeller is excessively worn ; Excessive water absorption height, etc. Treatment method for pneumatic diaphragm pumps: Check the suction pipe and bottom valve to seal off air leakage sources ; Clear the silt or blockages at the water inlet ; The submersed depth of the bottom valve must be more than 1.5 times the diameter of the inlet pipe; increase the submersed depth of the bottom valve ; Check the power supply voltage, increase the speed of the stainless steel pump, and replace the seal ring or impeller ; Lower the installation height of the water pump, or replace it with a high-head water pump.
