The standard supply method is that the Rosemount 3051S transmitter quick-connect assembly is properly installed on the sensor module, ready for overall installation at any time. The wire sets and connectors that can be wired on-site (shown in the shaded area) are sold separately. If a quick-connect assembly is ordered as a replacement housing for the 300S, or if you wish to remove the quick-connect assembly from the sensor module, follow the instructions below to ensure proper assembly during on-site wiring. 1. Place the quick-connect device on the sensor module. To ensure proper alignment of the pins, the coupling nut should be removed before installing the quick-connect device on the sensor module. 2. Slide the coupling nut onto the quick-connect device and tighten it with a wrench to a maximum torque of 34 Nm (300 inch-pounds). 3. Use a 3/32 inch hex wrench to tighten the set screw to 30 inch-pounds. 4. Install the wire set/on-site connectable connector onto the quick-connect device. Don’t tighten it too much.
