When food belt conveyors are in operation for long periods of time or are not operated properly, it can lead to damage to the stainless steel belts. In such cases, whether it is necessary to replace the belts or to reinstall them, it is recommended to follow the steps below. 1. Turn off all power supplies, remove the protective cover, loosen the mounting bolts of the motor, then move the motor to loosen the conveyor belt, making it easier to remove the damaged belt. 2. If the removed conveyor belt shows signs of abnormal wear, it indicates that there is a problem with the transmission mechanism; in such cases, a suitable conveyor belt should be selected for replacement. 3. First, the stainless steel mesh belt needs to be cleaned. At this point, it is important to note the following: under no circumstances should sandpaper be used to wipe away oil stains or dirt ； Second: under no circumstances should you choose to soak or scrub it directly in the cleaner. Both of these methods will cause damage to the stainless steel mesh belt. 4. Ensure that the conveyor belt is dry before replacement. 5. Check the maintenance devices such as those used to prevent the conveyor belt from drifting and for transmission maintenance; any issues such as deviation or wear should be addressed and repaired immediately. 6. Install the stainless steel mesh belt on the conveyor, then adjust the center distance of the drive mechanism first, and use a tension meter to bring the belt to the appropriate tension level ； Then tighten all the bolts of the motor; if they are not tightened properly, it may cause poor performance of the conveyor. 7. After replacing the conveyor belt, operate the conveyor to check its performance after the replacement. If there is noise, vibration, or other issues, shut it down immediately and inspect the motor and bearings.
