An MVR single-effect evaporator is a type of evaporation system in which the secondary steam generated during the evaporation of the solution is not reused; such an evaporation process is referred to as single-effect evaporation. An evaporator that uses a single-effect evaporation method is called a single-effect evaporator. Single-effect evaporators are used when the required production capacity is small, steam is inexpensive, the materials are corrosive and thus require very expensive structural materials, or the steam is contaminated and cannot be reused. MVR is an abbreviation for Mechanical Vapor Recompression; it is an energy-saving technology that reuses the energy of the secondary steam generated by itself, thereby reducing the need for external energy sources. The principle involves compressing the secondary steam generated by the steam using a compressor, thereby increasing its pressure and temperature; as a result, the heat content of the steam also increases. This steam with increased heat content is then sent to the heating chamber of the evaporator to be used as heating steam, which keeps the liquid material in a boiling state, while the heating steam itself condenses into water. In this way, the latent heat in the secondary steam is fully utilized, thereby achieving energy savings.
