Our factory produces by-product dilute sulfuric acid with a concentration of around 8%, at a temperature of 80°C. 304 pipes corroded after only 7 days of use; what materials can resist corrosion by this acid?
Try using plastic pipes; you need to consider which material to choose.
You can try high-alloy steel ( alloy No. 20). This material exhibits excellent corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid at any concentration at room temperature, as well as good corrosion resistance to boiling acid with a concentration of 10% or less. Other materials include lead and its alloys, copper and its alloys, nickel, nickel-copper alloys, nickel-chromium-iron alloys, Hastelloy, zirconium, and other such materials
Pipes lined with carbon steel and PTFE are useful for this purpose, as they can withstand waste acids of any concentration.
The lined pipes available on the 4th floor are a good choice, with widespread use in industrial applications. Additionally, fiberglass pipes can be considered, as they have good corrosion resistance. The owner needs to inquire about prices and make comparisons on their own.
If the medium is relatively clean (free of solid particles), fluorinated-lined pipes are a better choice. Refer to HG/T21562-94
