Dear experienced marine professionals, can a mixture of sulfuric acid (60-80%) + hydrogen peroxide (5-15%) + water be stored in fiberglass tanks at room temperature? If the temperature is around 90 degrees, can enamel be used? I checked online and found that PFA material is commonly used, but it’s too expensive. Of course, the specific unit price isn’t clear either; we only know it’s expensive. Is there any material that can replace PFA? ? ? Also, for a heat exchanger of the same 10 square meters size, what is the price difference between PFA material and alternative materials? ? ?
Tanks lined with PE work fine as well, and they are cheaper; sulfuric acid is involved, so fiberglass tanks are not suitable. The heat exchanger below uses PFA – will its heat exchange efficiency be good?

How was your 10 square meter heat exchange area calculated? If calculated using PFA, then choosing a silicon carbide heat exchanger means that even one square unit of heat exchange area is excessive! Investing is much cheaper than your PFA. It’s best not to store this type of mixture in tanks; it should be prepared as needed.
We are currently considering silicon carbide heat exchangers. An enamel-coated reactor is being considered, but I’m not sure if anyone here has any experience with using one.
