After checking the corrosion data, it was found that epoxy resin cannot be used in strongly oxidizing media such as concentrated sulfuric acid and nitric acid. May I ask why? ? ?
No organic material (except polyfluorine materials) can be used in strongly oxidizing media; this applies not only to epoxy materials.
The principle of antioxidant action is essentially to form a dense oxide film on the surface in contact with oxidants, thereby preventing further oxidation. Most of the products resulting from the oxidation of organic substances dissolve or fall off, and cannot form a protective film.
