Spraying can be carried out in large storage tanks. For equipment with complex internal structures, this spraying method is not recommended; the main reason is that due to the complexity of the internal structure, sandblasting for rust removal is not thorough, which results in poor spraying quality and easy peeling off of the coating
There are also many types of polyurea; the specific type to be used depends on environmental factors such as operating temperature and pH value. The construction process is very important – polyurea is relatively stable, but its adhesion strength is somewhat lower. We have used it in catalytic flue gas desulfurization scrubbers. Due to the highly acidic environment, with a pH value below 1, and since the exact composition of the acids present was unknown, coupled with the humid conditions, the polyurea used for the first time failed and peeled off, resulting in perforations. Later, a polyurea with better performance was used, but bulging still occurred; eventually, it was modified again. But in some places, using polyurea is no problem.
There are significant differences in the quality of polyurea products among different manufacturers; many of them comply with the standards for waterproof materials, namely \"GB T 23446-2009 Sprayed Polyurea Waterproof Coatings\"; When used for corrosion protection, the standards for protective materials must still be followed, namely the \"Sprayed Polyurea Protective Materials HGT3831-2006\" standard. Polyurea is not suitable for environments subject to corrosion by concentrated sulfuric acid. It meets the requirements of \"Sprayed Polyurea Protective Coating Material HGT3831-2006\" to a much greater extent! ! !
