An online leak repair technique

Leakage due to sand holes in welds is very common. When the leakage is not severe, the repair technician uses a hammer and a pointed cylindrical tool to strike the weld metal around the sand hole, thereby building up material at that location to stop the leakage. This method works well for both high and low pressures as well as with different types of media; it’s simple to use and effective. What I’ve never been able to figure out is what the official name of this repair technique is ? We have something called rivet repair, but it’s not right because no rivets are used ； There’s one called ‘zuanbu’, but it also seems a bit awkward. What do other people in the same field call it?
