The furnace tubes (nipple tubes) in the convection section of petrochemical heating furnaces become covered with soot and other deposits on their surfaces after a period of operation. It affects the efficiency of the heating furnace and tube corrosion, and cannot be removed by manual or mechanical methods. It can be easily removed using chemical cleaning methods, with excellent results; this improves heat exchange efficiency and prevents corrosion of the furnace tubes.
This is the convection section of the petrochemical heating furnace; due to prolonged smoke emission, soot and metal corrosion products accumulate on its surface, and this represents a passive method of maintenance.
